Phosphagenics ADR (
PINK:PPGNY 2.50), a Melbourne-based biotechnology and nutraceutical company focused on application of phosphorylation, recently announced it has entered into a joint venture with Metier Tribeca LLC, ("Metier"). Phosphagenics has granted Metier a license to develop and market a line of cosmetic products using Phosphagenics' TPM technology. Earnings will be divided equally between both companies.
Smokefree Innotec, Inc. (
PINK:SFIO 0.075), a developer and eventual manufacturer of smokeless cigarettes that utilizes a liquefied, vaporizable tobacco extract, recently announced the company has signed a Letter of Intent for additional distribution of its product in Australia and New Zealand. Smokefree aims to launch its smoke-free product in the fourth quarter of 2009.

When Xeloda is used in combination with oxaliplatin (Xeloda is already approved as a colon cancer treatment) colon cancer patients live disease-free longer than those taking the commonly used intravenous chemotherapy combination 5-fluorouracil/leucovorin (5-FU/LV).
