Phosphagenics ADR (PINK:PPGNY 2.50), a Melbourne-based biotechnology and nutraceutical company focused on application of phosphorylation, recently announced it has entered into a joint venture with Metier Tribeca LLC, ("Metier"). Phosphagenics has granted Metier a license to develop and market a line of cosmetic products using Phosphagenics' TPM technology. Earnings will be divided equally between both companies.

Smokefree Innotec, Inc. (PINK:SFIO 0.075), a developer and eventual manufacturer of smokeless cigarettes that utilizes a liquefied, vaporizable tobacco extract, recently announced  the company has signed a Letter of Intent for additional distribution of its product in Australia and New Zealand. Smokefree aims to launch its smoke-free product in the fourth quarter of 2009.

Roche Holding Ltd. (ADR) (PINK:RHHBY 35.00), the world's largest biotech company and leader in research-focused healthcare particularly in in-vitro diagnostics, tissue-based cancer diagnostics and diabetes management, announced  today that a Phase III study of Xeloda has proven to be effective treatment for early-stage colon cancer. When Xeloda is used in combination with oxaliplatin (Xeloda is already approved as a colon cancer treatment) colon cancer patients live disease-free longer than those taking the commonly used intravenous chemotherapy combination 5-fluorouracil/leucovorin (5-FU/LV).
