The New York Times Company is a diversified media company that includes newspapers, digital businesses, investments in paper mills and other investments. The Company's segments consist of the News Media Group and the About Group. The Company consists of The New York Times Media Group, which includes The New York Times (The Times), the International Herald Tribune (the IHT), NYTimes.com and related businesses; the New England Media Group, which includes The Boston Globe (the Globe), Boston.com, the Worcester Telegram & Gazette (the T&G), Telegram.com and related businesses; and the Regional Media Group, which includes 14 daily newspapers in Alabama, California, Florida, Louisiana, North Carolina and South Carolina. The About Group consists of the Websites of About.com, ConsumerSearch.com, Caloriecount.com and related businesses. In February 2011, the Company sold its UCompareHealthCare.com unit, which also fell under the About Group umbrella, to MDxMedical, Inc.
