SCN Launches New Stock Rating System. We Need Your Help!
Good day all. Hope you're week is treating you well. We wanted to take the opportunity today to point your attention to our new stock rating system. We're excited to finally launch this new functionality, as we are committed to bringing all SCN Members new ways of finding stocks with the potential for tremendous growth. However, in an effort to continue to grow the SCN Community, keep it free for everyone and make this new rating system a huge success, we need your help ASAP.
Have you ever heard of the "Jelly Bean Jar Theory"? Ha. Stay with me here. This is no joke. In a nutshell, the Jelly Bean Jar Theory suggests (and has been proven) that if you take a large enough sample of everyone's guess of how many jelly beans are in a jar and you average all of the guesses together, it almost always proves to be right around the exact number that's actually in the jar. Basically, the theory suggests the many are far smarter than the few. So what does this have to do with stocks?
If we took every single investor in the country and asked them to rate a stock a buy or a sell, the average would probably give you the best gauge for the stock's success on a go-forward basis. As a matter of fact, we're absolutely convinced it would be far more accurate than any basket of professional Wall Street Analysts, that's for sure.
More importantly, if we also rate the success of the investor's ability to rate a stock a buy or a sell, we can also identify who is worth potentially listening to and who isn't. This is the premise for our new stock rating system. We're allowing every investor the opportunity to rate a stock a simple buy or sell and then we're rating every investor who participates on their ability to be right. By gathering enough data, we can then break down the ratings based on timeframes, which will allow an investor or trader to further pinpoint if a stock is a buy or a sell on a short and/or long-term basis. And, over time, we'll start to discover who knows what they're talking about and who doesn't.
However, we need to start building and gathering enough data to make it work. This is where you come in. All we're asking is for you to take a few minutes, go to the SmallCap Network Homepage located at www.smallcapnetwork.com and start rating any and every stock you like or don't like. It's super simple and only takes a moment. Here's how...
Once you are logged into the SCN site using your free member account, enter a ticker symbol or company name in the Stock HQ field located top right of the homepage. If you don't have an account, it's free and easy to create one. I've included a screen shot below so you can see exactly where I'm referring to.

Once you have entered a ticker symbol or company name, hit go. You will then be taken to the stock's homepage on our site. You will clearly see an "Investor Rating" icon to the right of the company name. Simply select "Rate This Stock a Buy" or "Rate This Stock a Sell". It's that easy and you don't have to do anything else.

Once we start gathering enough data, we'll be able to start expanding the ratings on all stocks, including timeframes, as well as rating all investors who are participating. As the data grows, so will the results we display.
We also have plans to integrate this new rating system with investors' Facebook and Twitter accounts, if they so choose individually to do so, in an effort to help investors everywhere become more informed!
Why Should You Participate?
First, we're very aware we have some extremely intelligent investors, traders and Wall Street professionals within the SCN Community and among our newsletter readership. We've known this for a very long time. Even if you're not an experienced investor or trader, your opinion still counts. Believe me when I say that because it's all of the data combined consisting of every style, trading strategy and level of experience that will make the system a huge success and arguably one of the best tools online to help investors make decisions.
We've all given back at one point or another throughout our life and you know how good it feels to give back. Why not take a little time here and there and help investors everywhere by providing your opinion on any given stock. Your opinion is far more valuable to many investors than you might think. There's young investors with no experience coming into the markets every day, there are seasoned investors who rely on the markets to continue their retirement and there are professionals out there who know things about a particular company that you and I may never end up knowing without their help.
If just doing your part to help others isn't enough, once we have collected enough data and can start to rely on the success of certain individuals' ability to accurately rate stocks with a high degree of success, we plan to give those best performing investor the opportunity to earn money for their ongoing knowledge and continuing effort to successfully rate stocks!
Even if you're not interested in being paid for your knowledge at some point down the road, you will have 24/7 access to all of the stocks you have rated and how they've performed since, thus helping your own investment strategies and future decisions in the process.
We'd really appreciate your help, as this will only become a big success toward helping investors everywhere if you're willing to lend a helping hand. It all starts with each individual investor and trader and we welcome your participation early and often here at the SmallCap Network.
Have an excellent evening, we'll be back to our regular commentary tomorrow.
