Gaining over 71% in early trading today (picking up over $0.13), is Health Enhancement Products (HEPI) http://www.heponline.com/ trading on the OTCBB in the $0.30 range on an average 3-Month daily trading volume of 71,701 shares. I couldn't find a reason for the jump, but it happened. There's no official company news, but I did find a humorous quote on one of the message board-blogs: "Run, baby run."

HEPI sells ProAlgaZyme, an enzyme-based dietary supplement to support immune system and regulate cholesterol levels, and reduce C-reactive protein levels for aiding in the defense of the body against introduced or naturally-occurring harmful substances, and against cardiovascular problems. It markets its products through the Internet, as well as through organic grocery stores.

At $0.30, HEPI is well below its 52-week high of $0.70 set on 05-15-08 and far above its 52-week low of $0.04 set on 09-18-08 and its far above both its 50-day and 200-day moving average. HEPI has trailing twelve month revenues of $164,480 and its shares out versus float is near-parity.

Despite the fact that the market's pullback today is likely to bleed into next week (and perhaps longer, give the size of the recent runup), a handful of small caps - largely unknown to investors - are...
