Machine Tooling and Robotics Stage a Run-Up (DEER, IRBT, FANUY)

Machine Manufacturers Enjoy a Bounce.

Deer Consumer Products, Inc. (NASDAQ:DEER), iRobot Corporation (NASDAQ:IRBT), and FANUC LTD UNSP/ADR (PINK:FANUY) have all seen shares rise in recent weeks as the machine tooling and robotic manufacturing industries fulfill a growing demand for everything from small appliances to semiconductors to cars.

Deer Consumer Products, Inc. (NASDAQ:DEER) makes, sells, and exports products for overseas consumer products companies who sell them under the brand names: Black & Decker and Betty Crocker Kitchens. The Company also sells to private label brands. The Company operates 13 tooling houses, 136 injection-molding machines, and 18 production lines that  can make 14 million units a day. 

DEER was selling in the $4.03 range on Sept 6 and is currently trading in the $5.28 range; a gain of 31% in 10 weeks.

iRobot Corporation (NASDAQ:IRBT) makes and sells a wide range of robots… that include everything from home care robots that perform time consuming domestic chores to government and industrial robots that perform battlefield reconnaissance and bomb disposal robots for local police departments.

IRBT was trading in the $22.66 range on Oct 3 and is currently trading in the $32.93 range; a five week gain of 45%.

And based in Japan, FANUC LTD UNSP/ADR (PINK:FANUY) makes and sells servo motors, carbon dioxide laser oscillator, robots and robot machines, electric injection molding machines, wire-cut electric discharge machines, and nano machines. In Oct the Company integrated three European sales subsidiaries to eliminate barriers between business divisions and strengthen marketing. The Company sells its product in Asia and the U.S. as well. 

FANUY was trading in the $22.15 range on Oct 3 and is currently trading in the $27.35 range, a gain of 23% in five weeks.
