Penny stocks such as Managed High Yield Plus Fund (NYSE: HYF) have much to offer individual retirement accounts and health saving accounts with their stable price structure, sound finances and high dividend yields.

As a dividend stock, the high yield from Managed High Yield Plus Fund is ideal for an IRA, SEP IRA, 401K or health savings account.  Most important of all, the dividend for the penny stock is stable.  At 10.30 percent, it is a high dividend for any stock, penny stocks in particular.   In a retirement account or health savings account, the dividends paid are tax free.  The focus of Managed High Yield Plus Fund is to generate an income stream for the owners of the penny stock from purchasing debt and equity income securities, so it is protected by the direction of the activity and the management culture of the company.

This results in a very restrictured price framework, which is salutory for a, IRA, ROTH IRA, SEP IRA, 401K or health savings account.  You do not want the holdings in your retirement accounts fluctuating wildly.  The price to earnings ratio for Managed High Yield Plus Fund is 6.53, less than half the average for the S&P 500.  It trades at slightly above the net asset value for the holdings.

A penny stock with sound finances and a high yield dividend enhances the individual retirement account for any penny stock investor.  As penny stocks, by their very definition, the shares are cheaper, so a great diversity in holdings in a retirement account can be established at a lower price.  Income streams of a greater amount and broader range can be purchased at lower costs.  There is also less attention put on penny stocks by major investors, so individuals who do their own research can profit.  For the penny stock buyer, due diligence can pay off with penny stocks with high yields and impressive financials like Managed High Yield Plus Fund that will benefit their IRA, health savings account, SEP IRA, ROTH IRA or 401K.
