An analysis of Spectrum Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (SPPI), Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (CTIC), Axcelis Technologies, Inc. (ACLS), and ISTA Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ISTA) has been posted at the Small Cap Network. These three biotech companies and one tech stock were among the market's most heavily traded small caps for the day, and for good reason.

The Small Cap Network site publicly offers all of its stock picks and market analysis through its newsletter, delivered 2 to 3 times per week. To sign up, visit: access.smallcapnetwork.com/t/.

Biotech stocks Spectrum Pharmaceuticals, Cell Therapeutics, and ISTA Pharmaceuticals are among several biotech names that were pushed into the limelight following this year's ASCO conference. It was a very positive year for cancer treatment research, which direclty involves Spectrum and Cell Therapeutics - each is working on cancer drugs. ISTA Pharmaceuticals is liekly to be near an approval for their eye itch treatment; shares have been able to ride the broad biotech wave higher. Axcelis Technologies isn't a biotech, but that's not what prompted its 20% dip today. The plunge was strictly an artificial one, and not likely to persist.
